Squirrels
Squirrels – 4 to 6 years
We are one of the first groups in the District to open a new Scout section for four to six year olds called Squirrels, to help young people gain skills for life at a time when it matters most and where it’s most needed.
A Squirrel Scout Drey can have up to 24 Squirrel Scouts. Squirrels take part and are introduced to a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Squirrel Scout meeting consists of a wide variety of activities with plenty of time spent outdoors when possible – every activity undertaken is planned to contribute to gaining the most important badges leading to the ultimate goal of earning the Chief Scouts Acorn Award.

The Squirrel Scout Promise
On joining a Squirrel Scout Drey – All Squirrels are Invested – this involves making a promise (there are different variants for various religions)

What next for your Scout Career ?
When a Squirrel Scout turns 6 years old they are ready to move up to the Beaver Section
